Introduction-

     Welcome to the past 4½ years of a project that like so many probably thought that it would only take a couple of years at most to transform the car that didn’t seem so bad until you actually started stripping it down.

     My name is Stephen Hogarth and was born on the 10-4-1969 in the border town of Kelso. I am currently living in Bo’ness, which has been my home for the past 25 years.

      My 1970 S2 Lotus Europa was previously owned by my brother in law John Hunter, who had owned it prior to me for 20 years. It was when he owned it I got my addiction for the car and had always offered to remove it from his possession. I had only driven the car once and was amazed about it all then as I am today .The 2nd December 2001 was the day that I finally bought this car and the next few years would bring what you see before you.
